Research and Development Safe Cities' R&D division has several ongoing areas of interest. With world level expertise in several areas, the dynamic new Safe Cities' R&D team, led by new Chief Technical Officer Dr. Iain McKay, is researching new image processing algorithms, and building intelligent systems for intelligent internet protocol surveillance (IIPS) camera networks. There is also an ongoing effort to port advanced company software to mobile devices, while at the same time developing new applications for the mobile medium.
