EAR : Ear Recognition Software

Recognition of the human ear can be more accurate than face recognition, given a clear target image of the ear for comparison.

The 'EAR' Ear Recognition software has two key functions :

Verification - comparing current image to a proposed match from the database to see if it collates.
Identification - comparing the current image to the entire database and looking for a match, to ascertain identity.

Ear recognition is mainly used for matching still images against databases of similar shots, but it may also be used with CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television), CCDP (Closed-Circuit Digital Photography) and IIPS (Intelligent Internet Protocol Surveillance).
